NATURAL WHITE SHEEP bulky four strand Lopi style wool yarn from our American farm. More than one size skein available. Skeins have loose ties so you can dye the yarn without being re-skeined or re-tied it. Gauge about 3 1/2 sts on US size 10 needles. Free shipping on orders of $35.00 or more from our Farm Store.
Yarn is grown by our sheep, sheared by me then washed and brought to Green Mountain Spinnery for processing into yarn. When yarn is back to us, I skein then wash yarn again so it's ready for you to work with. Our wool is a combination of fine, down and long wool breeds from our farm. Takes dye easily. It's super soft with plenty of spring, elasticity and bounce!

Back again because I really love this yarn - I'm still a beginner, but it's one of (if not the) the softest I've purchased and used so far. That's even comparing it to my Rowan cashmere haze. I really like the lopi twist/single ply and the slight variation in weight throughout a skein. Once knitted up, it's fairly strong and has excellent stitch definition. I've made a cowl and I'm working on a vest at the moment - hoping to make a sweater eventually! So long as they keep spinning it, I'll keep buying it :)

Beautiful yarn! Very nice and soft. Takes color beautifully. I dyed it with onion skins and overdyed with indigo. It came out gorgeous. Very pleasant owner and fast shipping! I just bought more of this yarn!

This yarn is so lovely! I love the Lopi twist. It's fairly consistent, but does have some areas that are thinner or thicker (which I like). Really soft against the skin, too! The skein was well-tied and easy to unravel into a ball by hand. I'll definitely be back for more. (:
