LIGHT OLIVE GREEN kettle dyed sport weight 2 ply soft wool yarn grown on our small American farm. Spun at Green Mt. Spinnery at 1696 yds per pound. About 11 wraps per inch. It knits up at about 6 sts per inch on US size 3-5 needles. Hand painted and kettle dyed yarns have natural variations in shade. No two skeins are exactly alike. Start of skeins are clearly marked to make easier to find for winding. We are licensed to use the American wool Logo.
I shear my sheep and wash the wool prior to bringing it to Green Mountain Spinnery for spinning into yarn. When it returns, I skein and dye it and wash it again then it's ready for you. Free shipping on orders of $35.00 or more from our Farm Store.
