Brassy Green 3 ply kettle dyed soft wool worsted weight Farm Yarn. Yarn is mule spun and hand dyed. All from our farm. Spun at Green Mt. Spinnery at 1100 yds per pound. Skein is 250 yds and 4.3 oz. each. Gauge is 5 sts/inch on US size 7 needles and 4.5 sts using size 8 needles. Measures about 9 wraps per inch.
We are licensed by The American Sheep Industry to use the American Wool logo. We are a member of Pride of New York. The beginning of every skein is well marked to make your winding easier!

I shear my sheep and wash the wool prior to bringing it to Green Mountain Spinnery for spinning into yarn. When it returns, I skein and dye it and wash it again then it's ready for you.
Hand painted and kettle dyed yarns have natural variations in shade. No two skeins are exactly alike.
