DEEP WOODS RED worsted weight wool kettle dyed yarn from our USA farm. Wool is Romney and medium Tunis x wool. Yarn is similar to a Lopi style yarn. Gauge is 5 sts/inch on size 7 needles and 4.5 sts using size 8 needles. Free shipping on orders of $35.00 or more from our Farm Store.
I start shearing our sheep in the Spring then wash it all. I take it to to Green Mountain Spinnery in Vermont to be spun into yarn. When the yarn is finished it is on cones which I skein then wash. Next some of it I dye and some remains natural color. I wash it again and it's ready to use.
